About the role
We're looking for an intermediate backend engineer to join our engineering team to build the APIs that power Tix. Beyond the technical aspects of the role, you'll be a good fit if:
- You like working in small and collaborative teams where we don't have one fixed way of doing things
- You are excited and open to learning and building together as we grow and build the early structure of a product and company.
- You are ambitious and understand the demands of an e-commerce platform.
- You have excellent communication skills and are most especially proactive.
Minimum requirements
- Production experience with any backend programming language. (Ruby, Python, PHP, Javascript etc.)
- Intermediate understanding of the web and server-side/API development; HTTP, REST, databases [preferably Postgres], etc.
- Familiarity with unit testing [preferably Rspec]
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- An open mind, willingness to learn, and a solid commitment to continuous self-improvement
